"Westminster Abbey and the Tower of London are my personal recommendations for travellers interested in English history, though a walk by Buckingham Palace might be a better place to spot one of the royals (or at least some handsome guards!). Art-lovers can spend hours inside the Tate Modern and the National Portrait Gallery, while theater-goers will want to buy tickets for Shakespeare’s Globe or the Sam Wanamaker Playhouse. Walking through one of London’s numerous parks is also an option, and so is admiring the architecture of Tower Bridge, the Gherkin, or St. Paul’s Cathedral. In the evenings, have some fish and chips in a pub or enjoy London’s multicultural dining options."

"Set in a beautiful mansion where the wealthy Seymour family once lived, the Wallace Collection is lovely to walk around and the artworks on display are simply divine. The ensemble of lavish rooms, rich paintings, and stately statues are breathtaking, and you really do feel like you have stepped back in time. Also including fantastic pieces of china, furniture, armor, and ivory, the Wallace Collection is wonderfully presented and conveniently located in the center of London."

"Patrick Powell’s restaurant sits part-way up Manhattan Gardens in Stratford, at the point where the gravity-defying skyscraper appears to have had a chunk sliced out of it. As delicately balanced as both the building and the rest of Powell’s menus, brunch dishes include Cornish crab with potato latke, pickled fennel and sesame, and cod brandade with poached egg, pickled onion and light-as-a-feather potato chips. For something with a little more oomph, go for the drool-inducing black pudding burger with pickles and shallots – the ultimate fancy hangover food."
