Most of the present building dates from 1245 to 1272 when Henry III decided to rebuild an old abbey in the Gothic style."

"St Dunstan in the East is a church that was partially destroyed during World War Two. The ruins have been turned into a lovely garden that you can visit for free. It’s a very peaceful place, even if you will probably find quite a few other Instagrammers there."

"Not only is St Helen’s one of the oldest surviving churches in the City of London, but it is also the largest, and contains more monuments than any other church in London (except Westminster Abbey of course).
