The 11 best sushi restaurants in London
"Peruvian and Japanese cuisine have a well-known partnership, but at Sushisamba, the Brazilians are joining in the party too. You’ll find an El Topo salmon nigiri served with jalapeno and melted mozzarella, and a kobe steak with churrasco among the larger dishes. The sushi here, of course, comes with a view at the city location, where diners can enjoy the fruits of the 38th and 39th floor spot in 110 Bishopsgate."

8 Of The Best Chinese Restaurants To Chow Down At In London
"This modern Chinese restaurant on Broadwick Street, slickly designed and eagerly staffed, is a great option for all-day dim sum year round, and their seven-dish Chinese New Year menu (on ’til March 4) is pretty special. The sesame balls filled with a salted egg-yolk custard are a real treat, the braised pork is ludicrously tender and melty, and the golden fortune prawns are mouthwatering too. The cocktails we tried were just the ticket to sharpen the senses (the Black River Martini is a punchy, purple Scotch + blackberry delight) and although I wasn’t wholly sold on the admittedly very pretty petit gateau that concluded the meal, my companion eagerly demolished both of ours, so what do I know?"

London’s best Chinese restaurants
"Restaurants Chinese Soho. There’s substance behind the style at this Soho stalwart, which mixes high-concept design with day-and-night dim sum – think sticky-sweet venison puffs, umami-filled foie gras taro croquettes and lobster dumplings with tobiko caviar. With exotic teas, bigger plates, premium sakés and patisserie treats also on offer, it’s easy to see why Michelin came a-calling."

13 of the Best Chinese Restaurants in London
"Fragrant noodle dishes, meat-filled wontons and lip-smacking curries are served at Yauatcha on Soho's Broadwick Street, where dimly lit interiors are adorned with sleek furnishings. Be sure to save room for dessert - try the "Winter Sun", an exotic fruit mousse served with black-sesame cream and a banana-toffee compote, or the praline brownie topped with salted yuzu caramel."

London’s best outdoor dining
"Restaurants American Shoreditch. Just off Brick Lane, Smokestak’s ‘medieval nightclub’ (as we described it when it opened) sits at the foot of an unassuming block of flats, but, cue corny trumpet fanfare, has a massive terrace on both sides of its corner frontage, with a fancy new awning in suitably robust army-green canvas to protect meat-chompers from summer downpours. Cos Smokestak is all about meat – brisket, pastrami – in great smoky chunks or shoved, peasant-style – into buns with pungent sauces and sharp sides."

The Definitive List of Cool and Trendy Restaurants in London
"Taking industrial-chic to a new level, this dark and dingy Shoreditch restaurant is a no-frills affair. The food however, is very much on the indulgent side with the menu consisting of barbecue sharing plates (be prepared for your clothes to stink of smoke). Must-orders include the crispy fried pig’s tails and the brisket bun with pickled red chilli, while the sticky toffee pudding topped with smoky burnt butter ice cream provides an appropriately decadent finish."

"Restaurants British Fitzrovia. Expect a banging all-day brunch menu at this attractive Fitzrovia brasserie when the weekend comes around. "While these guys by no means specialize in pancakes, this all-day brasserie in Fitzrovia serves breakfast until midday and buttermilk pancakes are a firm favourite on their menu. The best restaurants in London - the ultimate guide
"This tiny restaurant at the north end of Fitzrovia is much loved for its deceptively simple Middle-Eastern cooking and also for being one of the friendliest places to eat in London. Run by Itamar Srulovich and Sarit Packer (Sarit was previously at Nopi and Ottolenghi) it really has the feel of a neighbourhood restaurant in the middle of London. This couple were at the forefront of Levantine cooking just as it became a trend and they continue to lead the field."

"School chums James McGurn and Henry Sutton share a love of all things steak and decided to prove the point with a street-food stand serving British meat dressed in Argentinian gaucho garb. All the dry-aged beef is from grass-fed native breeds reared in Yorkshire, while its wood and charcoal are supplied by the London Log Co. Steaks with skin-on fries and zingy chimichurri are the mainstays, but it also does specials including beef-shin nuggets (with burnt shallot and anchovy mayo), beer-fed dexter burgers and steak baguettes with lashings of gravy."

"In the early 1800s, art enthusiast Sir Francis Bourgeois instructed that his entire collection be turned into a gallery open to the public, handpicking architect John Soane to create the Dulwich Picture Gallery from scratch. Look up, and you can see for yourself the innovative techniques Soane used to bathe the whole gallery in sunlight, which became the prototype for all galleries to this day. Still, don't forget to look down too, to see the great Baroque masterpieces that line the walls and the mausoleum Soane designed for his friend and patron."
